The protagonist grows from a grassroots to a legendary hero who frightens the enemy and invades. He engages in a life-and-death game with the top brass of the Japanese army. He finds a balance between the hatred of the country and his family and the love of his children, and ultimately sacrifices himself for the sake of national justice.
