In the seventeenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, the Jiashen Incident occurred, the imperial city was destroyed, and the palace was in flames.
Su Jingyuan was sentenced to death by the Taiyuan Hospital. He held three volumes of yellowed ancient books in his arms and fled through the secret passage of Shenwu Sect.
One volume is "Su Wen Mi Zhu", one volume is "Lingshu Zhen Interpretation", and one volume is "Mingtang Acupuncture Classic".
The three volumes are all the only copies in the palace. They were handed down from the Sui and Tang Dynasties and were kept secretly in the four dynasties through the Song, Jin, Yuan and Ming dynasties.
When the pursuers arrived, Su Jingyuan sealed the three volumes of medical books into a red sandalwood box and sank them at the bottom of the river.
Before he died, he bit off his fingertips and wrote eight characters in blood on his clothes:
Medicine can never stop the Tao, skills can never stop the people
