A Dowry Worth Half the National Treasury

Lin Wanyue: Daughter of a convicted official, her family’s assets confiscated. She fakes a marriage with 360 sedan chairs’ worth of empty dowry to seek revenge and protect herself.

Pei Jin: A young frontier marshal who supposedly commands 100,000 elite soldiers (a lie; he actually has only 500). He fakes a marriage to investigate his father’s death.

Core conflict: Two con artists scheme against each other, only to fall in love amid their deceptions. When the truth comes to light, will they take up arms against each other, or join forces to wipe out everyone who has ever wronged them?
