Ikki Komon is just an ordinary young man with an ordinary job and an ordinary girlfriend. Then, before his girlfriend Riko disappears, she leaves him three words: “Kill me.”
Drawn into a secret organization called TLT, he begins to learn the truth hidden from the world: the Space Beasts, cognitive contamination, and an ancient tower that rose from the sea floor. The tower has no will or purpose. It simply exists. Yet its mere existence is enough to drive humanity mad.
There, he meets Jun Himeya, a war correspondent who survived the battlefield in Kosovo and the first “Dunamist.” He tells Ikki, “Light isn’t a weapon. It’s a bond. It connects the living and the dead, the light that still shines and the light that has gone out.”
But light and darkness have always been the two ends of the same bond.
