**Core Conflict Build**:
- **Villain Agent**: The conservative faction headed by the Prime Minister, due to their damaged interests and conflicts of ideas, constantly obstructed Ye Qiu's infrastructure reform, from covert sabotage to overt suppression.
- **Chips of Destiny**: If Ye Qiu's infrastructure plan fails, not only will the refugees she shelters fall back into famine and war, but she herself will also be sentenced to death for "deceiving the public with evil words."
- **Dilemma**: Ye Qiu must make a difficult balance between using her medical skills to extend the lives of the powerful in exchange for resources, and sticking to her true heart as a doctor and focusing on treating civilians. Every compromise tortures her beliefs.
**Character Dilemma Design**:
- **Strength/Emotional Dilemma**: Ye Qiu possesses medical skills and knowledge that transcend the times, but she lives in a strict hierarchical ancient society where men are superior to women. Her female identity and "unconventional skills" have become her biggest weakness in implementing reforms, and she has been repeatedly despised and questioned.
- **Environmental/Social Oppression**: The deserted village in the north where she came was experiencing a severe winter and banditry that had not happened in a century. It was extremely short of resources. It was surrounded by covetous enemy countries on the outside and a corrupt bureaucracy internally. The space for survival and development was severely squeezed.
**Time and Environmental Pressure**:
- **Countdown Threat**: There are only three months left in the severe winter. The construction of basic housing, food reserves and defenses must be completed before the roads are blocked by ice and snow, otherwise the whole village will die of freezing and starvation or be massacred by bandits.
- **Relationship Confrontation**: Among the refugees taken in in the early stage, there were informants from various forces. Crisis of trust and potential betrayal followed closely, testing Ye Qiu's ability to recognize and employ people.
