Whether you read The Return of the Condor Heroes as a novel or watch the TV series, there are just too many regrets: Xiaolongnu’s purity is taken from her, Yang Guo loses an arm, and they suffer sixteen years apart. Guo Jing’s whole family dies defending their country, with the exception of Guo Xiang, at the Battle of Xiangyang. All of it is such a shame and a waste, so please forgive my humble attempt at a rewrite.
(The story will follow the original plot, but not too closely. I’ll add some original characters too, and it’ll be half-fantasy or a crossover of martial arts worlds. I’ll write whatever comes to mind. This is pure wish fulfillment.)
