[Original character interpretations + darkening villain × healing saintly girl + OOC warning]
When he was seven, Tom Riddle found a dying girl in the middle of nowhere.
He fed her bread, protected her from stray dogs, and pulled her out of a pile of corpses.
“I found you, so even if you die, you’re still mine.”
He thought it was just a passing whim.
But later
At the orphanage, everyone feared him, avoided him, and called him a monster.
Only she wasn’t afraid.
She hid her candy and saved some just for him.
She turned withered leaves green and pressed them against the wound at the corner of his mouth.
She said, “You’re not a monster, big brother.”
She said, “I’ve kept everything you gave me.”
She said, “I’m not afraid of you.”
Tom Riddle had never trusted anyone.
But he trusted her.
Until a letter from the magical academy sent her to Beauxbatons.
He stood at the orphanage gates, clutching the leaf she had left behind, and whispered
“I’ll find you. Don’t think you can escape.”
Later, he became Voldemort, and everyone feared him.
Only she still dared to touch his hand.
But she still left him.
“Big brother, I don’t depend on you anymore. Does that mean I’ve grown up?”
He knelt in the ruins, clutching the snake-shaped ring, blood and tears mingling
“Have I become someone you can no longer depend on?”
P.S. In this version, Tom didn’t grow up in an orphanage. A male lead, Abus, is introduced later.
