Chen Miao, an unemployed lawyer, moves into the supposedly haunted apartment 1804 to save money. She thinks she’s just getting a bargain, but instead she unexpectedly meets three “roommates”:
- An elderly earthbound spirit who was a warmhearted neighbor while alive;
- Jin Xin, an earthbound spirit who was also a lawyer in life;
- Zhang Xiaoyao, a real estate agent and descendant of a Taoist priest.
The four hit it off and open a “Paranormal Investigation Agency” in the haunted apartment.
