Thirty-one-year-old middle school teacher Lin Man returned to her hometown to deal with her mother's funeral, but was told by the police that her mother did not die of illness but of poisoning. She was the only one present on the night of the crime, and all evidence pointed to her as the murderer. In order to prove her innocence, she must uncover the secret behind her mother's death alone among the police, villagers, and her long-broken sister. However, the closer she got to the truth, the more she realized that she didn't understand the woman who had been called "Mom" for thirty-one years at all.
