This Witch Is a Little Bit of a Menace

Others become witches for glory and destiny.

Linaor became a witch just to get by, mooch off others, and lie flat.

Hair black as night, eyes like amber,

she’s the most unserious witch, yet the clearest-eyed traveler.

If she can skip the bill, she won’t pay. If she can watch the drama, she won’t get involved. If she can slack off, she won’t lift a finger.

She travels on and watches the world go by,

seeing obsession, regret, tenderness, and cruelty.

She acts cold to the end, but her heart gives her away.

This is a witch’s journey with no end,

not a story of passion or saving the world. It’s simply about being

a little shameless, a little sweet, and a little hard to forget.

(Each installment is a short story, so you don’t have to read them in order. Feel free to pick whichever ones you like.)
