Douluo Dalu: The Ancient Tree of Life

Lin Che, a 21st-century wildlife conservation volunteer, transmigrates to Douluo Dalu and awakens a Mutated Martial Soul, the Ancient Tree of Life, along with the Life Contract System. He sets out on a path that puts him at odds with the entire continent: refusing to hunt, he offers his life force in exchange for Soul Beasts willingly following him.

At Notting Academy, he shares a bed with Xiao Wu, a Soul Beast in human form, using their contract to conceal her presence. In the Star Dou Great Forest, he recruits the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming and the Sky Azure Bull Python Da Ming, persuading Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts to become his companions of their own free will. On Sea God Island, he forms a symbiotic contract with Xiao Wu, overturning her otherwise certain fate of sacrifice.

His emerald-green Soul Rings shock the continent time and again. Hu Liena betrays Spirit Hall for him, Qian Renxue changes sides on the battlefield for him, and even Pope Bibi Dong lets go of her obsession after he saves her. With nine beloved companions and three paths of contracts, he rises from an outcast everyone wants dead to the Life Lord revered by all worlds.

Before Jialing Pass, an army of a million Soul Beasts faces the human coalition, while the Life God King and the Asura God gaze at each other across the void. When demons from beyond the world invade, the nine women unite, burn their life force, and join him in the final battle. In the end, he establishes the Temple of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest, making "all things coexisting" the continent's new order.

This is a story about changing the fate of Douluo Dalu, and an eternal legend shared with nine beloved companions.
