In 2147 AD, a meteorite known as Judgment Day struck Earth. The impact did not destroy the planet. Instead, it released an unknown energy field called the Source of Sin, pulling all the survivors into a twisted alternate dimension: the City of the End. This city is a bizarre fusion of post-apocalyptic wasteland and surreal rules: crumbling skyscrapers hang with neon signs spelling out the rules, “living corpses” roam abandoned subway stations, following some kind of behavioral pattern, and a blood-red sun that never moves hangs perpetually in the sky.
