Spending the Years Beneath the Birch Trees with You

Qu Hua fell for Fang Mujing when they were young, but buried his feelings deep after she disappeared. Yanyan's arrival became a link between him and his first love, and after she passed away, he used "guilt" to conceal his true feelings. Years later, when they meet again, he uses his grandmother's critical illness as a pretext to carefully arrange a marriage of convenience, all so he can protect Fang Mujing openly and legitimately. From a sham marriage in which they each get what they need, the two gradually fall for each other, learn to trust, and come to love deeply through the passage of time and the trials they face. In the end, they save each other and stay together for life.
