Modern office worker Lin Xiaotang stays up all night finishing a cultivation novel. When she opens her eyes, she's transmigrated into a chubby little otter.
Beside a freezing pool, she stares at her fluffy reflection and howls in despair, only to make soft, squeaky “eep eep” sounds.
Just as she's feeling down, Su Qinghan, the aloof Sword Venerable of the Qingyun Sect, comes across her.
She thinks she'll end up as a demon beast's dinner, but unexpectedly, he gives her a Marrow-Cleansing Pill, awakens her intelligence, and takes her back to the sect, where she latches onto a powerful protector.
From then on, a clingy, chatterbox little otter makes her home in the Cold Jade Abode
