I Made Up a Longevity Clan, and the Entire Cultivation World Fell for It

Transmigrate to a fantasy world of cultivation with no background and no talent? What do you do?

No problem. I’ll make one up myself!

I tell everyone I meet that I’m from the Gu family, a hidden clan of immortals that has been secluded for ten thousand years. The guards at my family’s gates are pure-blooded true dragons, and the ones who sweep the floors are fragments of Great Emperor souls.

At first, everyone thought I was crazy.

Until the day a sacred land tried to kill me and seize my treasure. I tore open a rift in the void and “invited” the projection of a Gu family outer steward to appear. With one slap, he smashed the sacred land’s mountain gate to pieces.

The entire cultivation world was shaken. The immortal Gu family really existed!

After the news spread, countless ancient Daoist lineages began frantically searching for traces of the Gu family. And as the family’s legend spread farther and grew more convincing, I began to sense that the foundations of the family I had invented were slowly taking shape throughout the world.

Extreme Dao imperial weapons, ironclad guardian cavalry, sealed ancient emperors... Tell a lie a thousand times, and even the Heavenly Dao is about to believe it.

I take on the secret identity of a young lord and hone myself in the mortal world, making a spectacular show of my power. I put on another secret identity as a guardian, my sword’s radiance chilling the nineteen provinces.

When the dark upheaval arrives and the supremes of the forbidden zones seek to slaughter the world,

I sit upon a throne in the void, with twelve “ancestors of the Gu family” at the level of immortal emperors standing behind me.

The supreme is dumbstruck. “Where the hell did this Gu family come from? How are we supposed to fight them?”
