Ye Feng, a boy from Blue Star, finds life dull and meaningless. While venting on a rooftop during a torrential storm, he is struck by lightning. Just when he thinks it's all over, he is reborn in the world of Fullmetal Alchemist, retaining the memories of his previous life. His parents are obsessed with creating a Philosopher's Stone. In the end, they sacrifice themselves in the basement to obtain a small fragment of one, disappearing completely.
Ye Feng picks up the Philosopher's Stone, activates a transmutation circle, and faces Truth. He gains knowledge of wind alchemy and sets off on the path of learning alchemy. In the end, Truth seeks the possibility of going further and strikes a deal with Ye Feng: using his memories of his previous life as coordinates, Truth takes him across the myriad worlds, while lodging within Ye Feng and accompanying him to new universes.
Upon arriving in the Honkai: Star Rail universe, Truth ascends to become an Aeon who governs [Equivalent Exchange], and Ye Feng becomes its first Emanator. By chance, he boards the Astral Express.
From fighting the Antimatter Legion at Herta Space Station to taking part in the Holy Grail War in the Nasuverse; from the Xianzhou Luofu to meeting all kinds of people on Teyvat, Ye Feng's alchemy continues to evolve.
The Astral Express speeds onward to Penacony, then ventures into a food universe. When the train reaches Amphoreus, Ye Feng is shocked to discover that the Dwarf in the Flask has not perished. It has been lying dormant within Truth's power, quietly devouring it.
The Astral Express Crew gathers reinforcements from every corner. In the final battle, Ye Feng reshapes Amphoreus and puts an end to the Dwarf in the Flask once and for all. The price of this victory is the loss of Ye Feng's ability to travel between worlds.
From then on, Ye Feng continues toward the depths of the cosmos with March 7th, Sakura, and his friends aboard the Astral Express, embarking on a new journey of exploration together.
