Ancestor of Ten Thousand Surnames
Synopsis
Lin Muzhi, a 28-year-old PhD in history specializing in pre-Qin history, transmigrates to the Shang-Zhou transition three thousand years ago after an accident. He discovers that he has landed among the Ji clan, an ancient family later known as the "ancestor of ten thousand surnames," now on the brink of extinction. Using his modern historical knowledge, metallurgical skills, agricultural innovations, and military organizational abilities, he not only helps the clan survive its crisis but also, through a twist of fate, becomes the true founder of the rise of the Ji surname. From then on, he must live as an ancestor in the very history he once studied, personally forging the origins of his own surname.
Theme: Blood ties are fate, and technology is power. When a person becomes his own ancestor, he faces not only the challenge of survival but also the task of rewriting history itself.
Core conflicts: Modern rationality collides with primitive beliefs; individual will struggles against the tides of history; and the desire to preserve known history clashes with the pursuit of a better possibility.
Book Review of "Kowloon Pulling the Coffin" "Nine Dragons Pulling the Coffin" is a fantasy novel set in the Republic of China. It tells the story of young Shen Nian who inherited Yin and Yang eyes after experiencing "death", traveled to six places with six marriage contracts, and met and stayed with six girls with very different personalities. The novel cleverly integrates traditional folk customs and fateful reincarnation, with the theme "Only if you die once can you truly live" runs throughout. The six heroines each have their own characteristics - Su Wan is cold, Lu Qing is sharp, Xu Yan is silent, Huo Xiaochan is passionate, Song Yao is quiet, and Bai Ling is gentle. The six emotions are intertwined, but not conventional. They don't want status, they just want companionship. This transcendent emotion is touching. The author's writing is gentle and gentle, intertwining daily fireworks with strange stories from the underworld, and revealing true feelings in the cycle of seasons. The most touching thing is not the spectacle of the coffin being pulled in Kowloon, but the ordinary happiness of "living day by day with someone by your side". This is not only the inheritance of Onmyoji, but also the inheritance of love and care.
