Chasing the Throne in the Sui Dynasty

A modern-day street thug accidentally does the right thing and is struck by lightning, transmigrating into the chaos at the end of the Sui dynasty.

He knows nothing of poetry, music, chess, or painting, and has no peerless martial arts skills. All he has is his shameless nature and unbelievable luck, which he uses to scrape out a living amid the turmoil.

He has no desire to be remembered for all time or to conquer the world. He just wants a fortune and all the beauties he can get.

Watch a modern street punk muddle through the upheaval of the late Sui and early Tang, with its rising heroes and spreading fires of war, as he cons, cheats, and bluffs his way out of danger and writes a ridiculous yet rousing, laugh-out-loud tale of success!
