Naruto: The Empty Scroll Seals Jutsu, and I Can Save Ninjutsu

On the day of Konoha's graduation exam, Feng Jianche failed the Clone Technique for the third time. He was already ready to give up on becoming a ninja.

But just outside the exam hall, a sudden attack dragged him into a deadly predicament. While fleeing for his life, he grabbed an empty scroll and instinctively “stored” the jutsu before his eyes inside it.

The next second, the scroll grew hot on its own, and its sealing markings crawled across the paper as if they were alive:

What he had stored was no ordinary jutsu. It was a jutsu that should never have appeared in Konoha.

From that day on, Che faced a question harder than how to become stronger:

In the shinobi world, learning a jutsu makes people think you're a genius.

But if you can put someone else's jutsu in your pocket, people will only want to find out two things:

Are you someone's experiment? Should you be eliminated before you become a threat?

He had no choice but to pretend to be a good-for-nothing and join a squad, while using his empty scroll to turn every battle into a contest of calculation and compromise:

What to store, what to erase, when to reveal his hand, and how much to show.

Every decision determined whether he would live to see the next chapter.

And when a masked “inspector” laid a stack of empty scrolls before him, Che finally understood:

The golden finger he thought he had was actually a key to one of the shinobi world's secret operations.

Beyond the door lay power, and a price to pay.
