[Mother-daughter bond + family affection + everyday life + growth]
I transmigrated to the 1980s and met my mom as a child. After pestering her relentlessly, I became her best friend.
I grew up alongside her and experienced the things she had gone through as a child.
But as the days passed, I slowly realized that my mom's childhood hadn't been filled with candy and ice pops. Grandma and Grandpa weren't open-minded parents at all. They always thought other people's children were better. Things became even more obvious after my aunt was born.
I watched my mom grow up with those painful barbs stuck in her. At first, she'd cry and try to explain herself. Later, she would just lower her head in silence and say nothing.
Now I'm here to grow up alongside her. When others bully her, I'll be the one who stands up to them. When Grandma and Grandpa put her down, I'll talk smack about them where they can't hear me, and right in front of Mom, too.
Mom, I've got your back. Nobody gets to bully you!!!
