This is a story that spans more than four hundred years.
From 206 BC when Liu Bang entered Xianyang City to 220 BC when Emperor Xian handed the jade seal to Cao Pi, the Han Dynasty lived for 407 years.
It experienced the bloody struggle between Chu and Han for hegemony, witnessed the enrichment of warehouses under the rule of Wen and Jing, squandered the illustrious martial arts of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and tasted Wang Mang's absurd experiments in restructuring. In the end, in the tug-of-war between eunuchs and relatives, it lost the country to three warlords named Cao, Liu, and Sun.
It's called Han Dynasty.
We call it "Han" because of its country name; we call ourselves "Hanren" because of its blood; we speak "Chinese" and write "Chinese characters" because of its heritage.
Four hundred years is enough for a family to rise and fall for twenty generations; four hundred years is enough for a civilization to be engraved in the bone marrow.
Suitable for the crowd:
History buffs (especially Akira fans)
Civil Servants/Workers (Learning Ancient Political Wisdom)
Military fans (full analysis of the Han-Hungarian War and the Three Kingdoms Campaign)
Literature lovers (the stories behind "Historical Records" and "Hanshu")
People who simply want to find a good book
Not suitable for:
The textual criticism school that pursues academic rigor (this book is a "historical novel", not a "historical paper")
Traditional readers who cannot accept the ridiculing tone (the author will call Liu Bang "Liu Laosan" and Wang Mang "Laowang")
People who are looking forward to reading it quickly (it may be too long)
Nice. Interesting
