[Pegasus Road | Racing | No CP | No System | Ensemble Cast]
Zhang Chi never imagined he’d make it out of Bayinbuluke alive.
He never imagined the seal he lost when he went over the cliff would still be there, either.
59 minutes and 58 seconds. The result stood. He had won. But the television in his hospital room was broadcasting the news: “FIA questions the result,” “Industry insiders say he got lucky,” “China’s five-time champion wins unfairly.”
Zhang Chi stared at the ceiling and said nothing.
Then a gold-embossed invitation landed on his bedside table.
“China’s five-time champion: the World Rally Championship wants to know if you can race anywhere but that mountain road.”
The doctor said he’d be paralyzed if he drove again. He tore up the diagnosis, took his brothers and a beat-up car, and flew to Europe.
He didn’t have time to think about what came next.
He only knew he wanted to finish that race.
This is my first time writing a novel. I have the full outline and can keep up with the writing, so I won’t abandon it. The first few chapters may take a while to get going, but it’ll pick up later.
Let me know if you spot any plot holes. I usually update around noon or in the afternoon. If enough people ask for more that day, I’ll add an extra chapter.
Pegasus Road 3 has always felt unfinished, but I’m not starting the story there.
My understanding of the characters is based on my own take after watching the movies. I’ll do my best to let them live their own lives.
This is a parallel world branching off from the ending of the first movie, so other characters will appear in turn, though I’ll invent some of their experiences.
No melodrama, no brainless antics. I just want to tell the story of a man who races through his whole life with his life on the line.
If there are any time bugs or plot bugs, please let me know. ❤️ In terms of plot settings, I slightly adjusted the ages of some famous drivers for competitive collisions. The racing process may be a bit long-winded, [currently in progress] I will try my best to ensure that the characters are not OOC. I promise to update it and I will finish it if someone reads it.
Why do I feel like no one is watching? It's so beautiful TT 🥺
There are really few people watching it, but it's really beautiful.
The pace is a bit slow in the first few chapters, but then it picks up immediately. The group portraits are very good at shaping the characters, and I enjoyed watching Muchen 100.
I've only read more than 50 chapters so far, and I think it's okay. I'll talk about it after I finish it. I recommended it to everyone in the group to try it 😄
I really like this fanfic, the writing is exquisite
I can actually see this writing on Tomato. It's so awesome. Although everyone's personality may be a little different from the movie version, you can feel the different personality charm. Like it👍
