The Cycle Never Ends, and I Am the End

Ling Xia wakes in the ruins of a city where dusk is the only time of day… .

No memories, only a card and a sentence from a dream, spoken in his own voice:

"I did it before."

This is a prison where rules reign supreme:

Cards are life. Those who lose theirs become empty shells;

True names are taboo. Speak one aloud and you die on the spot;

The "people" around you may not be people;

Every game teaches you how to die.

Everyone says no one can leave.

But in Ling Xia's ledger, there's only one word:

"God."

I don't remember how many times I've come back.

I only know that this time

The cycle will not end. I am the endgame.
