I picked up a badly wounded man in ancient clothes on a rainy night.
The first thing he said when he woke up was, “Miss, where is this place?”
Me: “…A hospital.”
He pointed at the light bulb. “Why does this thing glow?”
Me: “…It’s called electricity.”
He said he was a regent who had been ambushed and pushed off a cliff.
I said, fine, recover first, then hurry up and leave.
But then
He recovered and stayed.
“This prince must repay your kindness.”
“No, really, you don’t have to.”
“This prince has decided to marry you.”
Later, he wrote a few characters, and the calligraphy world went wild.
We went out to buy groceries, and passersby crowded around asking for photos.
The illustrations I stayed up all night drawing weren’t worth as much as the characters he casually wrote.
Then his enemies tracked him down in the modern world.
He shielded me, his gaze as cold as a blade.
“Touch her, and see what happens.”
I thought he was just a down-on-his-luck man from the past.
Until one day, he dropped to one knee.
“This prince transmigrated a thousand years into the future just to marry you.”
