This is the West in 1887, but west of the Rocky Mountains slumbers the indescribable Ancient One. Jeremiah is the only monster psychotherapist, using a tuning fork to soothe the monsters' nightmares and prevent them from turning over and crushing the town. When people's dreams gradually disappeared and only the fear of the ancients remained, the cat he had raised for ten years suddenly said: "They are coming, run." The cat's shadow broke free from the nail lock and fled into the night. The next day, the first batch of "integrated" people appeared in the town - they had extremely peaceful faces, hummed silent songs, and their consciousness was being absorbed by some ancient hive mind. And Jeremiah received a letter written with star colored stone powder, signed by his wife who had been dead for ten years: "I am in the choir, save our dreams." He must go deep into the enemy who cannot be defeated by bullets, or even hate, and find his own dream for mankind in the gentle torrent of assimilation.
