The Ninth Princess Consort: A Splendid Realm for You

1. Su Hang × Ninth Prince Yinzhen: his one and only, no concubines, and no nights spent attending the prince

2. The heroine has her own career arc: Su embroidery, incense blending, a silk thread shop, and trade

Su Hang, a modern inheritor of Su embroidery, a recognized piece of intangible cultural heritage, transmigrates to the Kangxi era of the Qing dynasty as an orphan of the Han Army Banner. Her parents are dead, a local bully has seized her farmland, and she nearly dies. Using her cool head and self-defense skills, she fights off the bully's thugs, faces the hopelessness of her situation, and resolves to make a place for herself in the Qing dynasty with her embroidery. She takes shelter in a ramshackle courtyard, tends to her health, and assesses her circumstances. With the few materials she has left, she embroiders a small piece to trade for food, offering a first glimpse of stitchwork unmatched in her age. When the bully harasses her again, Su Hang calmly holds her ground. She would rather die than submit to becoming a concubine or a slave. Her unyielding spirit and striking beauty catch the eye of the Ninth Prince, Yinzhen, who is traveling incognito. Intrigued by this woman who remains dignified despite her desperate circumstances, the Ninth Prince steps in to save Su Hang and arranges a safe place for her to stay. Their first encounter sets their fates on a shared path.
