Journey to the West: You Were Supposed to Be a Mount, but You Want to Eat the Master

“I, Ao Lie, would rather die, even jump off this cliff, than be Tang Sanzang’s mount!”

The next second, he catches the rich, fatty aroma of “pure-blooded, ten-lifetime Angus beef” coming from Tang Sanzang. Ao Lie drops to his knees with a smooth flourish. “Bodhisattva, I understand now!”

A hardcore food creator from his previous life transmigrates into the White Dragon Horse and awakens the [Journey to the West: On the Tip of the Tongue] livestream.

From then on, the whole vibe of the journey west goes completely off the rails:

Tang Seng washing his feet? That’s “pure-yang broth from a golden cicada reborn for ten lifetimes”!

Wukong beating demons? That’s “premium ingredients automatically delivered to the pantry”!

Golden-Winged Great Peng: You couldn’t even call me Head Chef before slicing me straight into Orleans-style chicken wings?

Tathagata: That’s my uncle!

Ao Lie picks his teeth, looking utterly innocent. “Buddha, facts aside, is he really blameless for having such tough meat?”

He deliberately stays stuck at the Celestial Immortal realm, refusing to break through, while maxing out his physical, fire, and poison resistances.

Facing the “Food Safety Task Force” established by the Celestial Court, Ao Lie hands Bajie some cumin and waves at Erlang Shen’s third eye:

“Hey, folks, we’re not fetching scriptures today. We’re hitting Mount Ling for a no-cost shopping spree!”

Guanyin: I told you to fetch the scriptures, and you’re doing food reviews along the way?!!
