Candidates: Priority is given to young adults, those with good physical strength, boldness, and strong characters; generally not selected: elderly people over 60 years old, close relatives who have not been out of school for five years, unmarried/newly married young people, and those who are recovering from illness and infirm.
Initiation: The Patriarch holds the altar! Out of evil! Out of the soul! A funeral!
Lifting up the coffin: The filial son kneels down to ask for the coffin to be lifted up, the coffin bearers tie up bars and work together to lift the coffin, and the eldest son holds the coffin and leads the way.
Going up the mountain: paying money for the road, blasting cannons, gongs and drums, large bowls and small bowls to clear the way; filial sons and filial sons carry the coffin to accompany them. They work together on the slopes and keep changing poles. The filial sons lie down on the ground to make a bridge when encountering a bridge.
Burial: After arriving at the cemetery, the person enters the grave smoothly, and the filial son determines the location and fills the soil. After the ceremony, the coffin bearers receive gifts of thanks and cleanse themselves.
