Shen Du and Zhou Shenghan have been married for three years, and for all three years, she has been "blind." She can't see the milk he warms for her every morning, the balcony light he leaves on while waiting for her to come home late at night, or the deep love slowly fading in his eyes. All she sees is her first love, Lu Chenfeng, freshly released from prison and left with nothing. She forces Shen Du to sell their marital home to fund Lu Chenfeng's business, demands he give up his promotion so Lu Chenfeng can get ahead, and, egged on by Lu Chenfeng's taunts, even flings the divorce papers in Shen Du's face herself.
Shen Du leaves without taking a thing, leaving behind only one sentence: "Zhou Shenghan, you'd better never look back."
Five years later, Zhou Shenghan is a well-known wedding planner. She takes on Lu Chenfeng's wedding, but while setting up the venue, she sees the bride's wedding photos. The gentle, smiling man beside the bride isn't Lu Chenfeng, but another woman. And the groom she was told was "overseas on business and unable to return" is lying peacefully in the center of a funeral hall.
It turns out that after Shen Du left, he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He refused to let anyone contact him and died alone in an unfamiliar city. Zhou Shenghan frantically finds his grave, only to discover that a fresh bouquet of her favorite white roses is always placed before the headstone. The name on the card identifying the sender is unmistakably Shen Du.
A mystery to unravel: Who is sending the flowers? Is Shen Du really dead? Or has he been watching over her in another way, somewhere she can't see, all these years?
