In the twenty-sixth year of the First Emperor of Qin (221 BC), after Qin unified the six kingdoms, in order to conquer Baiyue in the south of Lingnan, he ordered the eunuch Shi Lu to dig the Ling Canal to connect the Hunan and Li rivers. This work takes the Lingqu Steep Gate Project as the core, showing the brilliant achievements of water conservancy projects in the Qin Dynasty and the wisdom of ancient craftsmen. The protagonist Su Mo travels across time with the knowledge of modern water conservancy engineering, but strictly follows the restrictions of historical and technical conditions. The golden finger is mainly reflected in: ① forward-looking understanding of engineering principles; ② systematic management thinking; ③ application innovation of materials science. All technical solutions must comply with the productivity level of the Qin Dynasty and eliminate the "steampunk" sense of disharmony.
