Chronicles of the Brocade-Clad Night Walker

In the thirty-fifth year of the Jiajing reign (1556), Japanese pirates ravaged the southeastern coast, while Yan Song held sway at court and the Embroidered Guard and Eastern Depot fought for power. In this turbulent era, six young people from different walks of life cross paths because of a conspiracy and are drawn into a grand game that will decide the fate of their homeland.

The story centers on the “Heavenly Secrets Map,” a mysterious chart said to conceal the treasure and military strategies of a former dynasty. Factions of every kind pursue it with feverish determination. As our protagonists search for the truth, they must face not only foreign invaders and the schemes of powerful ministers, but also tangled feelings and tests of human nature.
