After I Broke Off the Engagement, the Medical CEO Begged Me to Save Him

[Urban + broken engagement + miracle doctor + face-slapping + female CEO pursues her husband]

“I control the world's top medical resources and own three publicly listed pharmaceutical companies. You're a rural doctor without even a medical license. What makes you think you're worthy of me?”

Chu Qingyan, Jiangzhou's famously icy female CEO, slammed a fifty-million-yuan check down in front of Lu Yan and tore up their marriage contract in front of everyone.

Lu Yan didn't even glance at the check. His gaze swept over Chu Qingyan's pale face, and a cold smile curled his lips.

“Since you've broken off the engagement, you'll bear the consequences. Your grandfather's blood is flowing backward. He'll have a stroke and become paralyzed within three days. Your hidden illness won't last half a month, either. When the time comes, even if you kneel and beg me, my rules won't change: I'll cut the consultation fee in half, and you'll pay the rest with your life.”

Three days later, the Chu family's top Western medical team and medical equipment worth over a hundred million dollars were helpless as they watched the ECG line flatten.

In the pouring rain, the once untouchable icy female CEO completely broke down. She fell to her knees outside Lu Yan's clinic and kowtowed frantically.

“Master Lu, I was wrong! Please, have mercy and save my grandfather...”

Lu Yan held a poisoned silver needle, his gaze indifferent. “I don't show mercy when I treat people.”
