[Inner Thoughts] + [Spoilers] + [Everyone's Darling] + [Palace Intrigue] + [Effortless Wins]

Jiang Chunyan, a laid-back history graduate student, wakes up to find herself transmigrated into Xia Dongchun, a cannon-fodder character in Empresses in the Palace who doesn't survive past three episodes! Just as she's preparing to keep her head down, the plot starts going off the rails.

The “Red One-Hundred” is gone, and rewards arrive instead. Consort Hua glares while Meizhuang protects her; the Empress smiles with a hidden knife, while Lingrong sends over a hand warmer.

Xia Dongchun: I didn't even do anything!

Then one day, she sees Zhen Huan, the future Empress Dowager, smile gently at her, her eyes saying, “Go on, I'm listening.”

Only then does Xia Dongchun realize that all the snarky commentary running through her head has somehow been heard by the real deal!

It's over! The biggest secret in the harem has fallen into the hands of me, a nobody?

From then on, Xia Dongchun is forced into a life of easy wins: “I make snarky comments, Huanhuan takes them out.” Together with her sisters, she sets out to turn the harem into their ideal retirement home!
