A fictional setting
Modern-day orphan Rong Ke transmigrated into the body of Wang Xinghua, a girl from ancient Xinghua Village. From the start, she had a high fever. Her father was dead, leaving her widowed mother and siblings to be bullied by the Wang family. Once she woke up, Rong Ke angrily set fire to the house, demanded a family separation, cut ties with the Wangs, and moved to a hillside behind the village.
On a trip to Qinglong Town, she met Song Xingchen, whose entire family had been killed. She claimed he was her cousin and brought him home. Song Xingchen was strong, had a huge appetite, and came from no ordinary background. The two had an unexpected encounter in the mountains, practicing swordplay at dawn and cultivating their inner arts at night.
When war suddenly broke out on the border, Song Xingchen was conscripted into the army. Rong Ke stayed in Xinghua Village. Three years later, she was planning to find a live-in husband.
Song Xingchen, now a general, returned. “Cousin, since we’re family, how about I become your live-in husband?”
“Since you put it that way, don’t even think about running away...” Rong Ke naturally couldn’t bear to turn away a handsome, wealthy, and desirable man delivered right to her door.
It's very interesting and the story is quite exciting. The characters are vivid, I like it very much. Especially the male and female protagonists are very good. The adventures of the male and female protagonists seemed like they were reading a martial arts novel. The part where the hostess was beaten was quite depressing. The ending given by the author to those best relatives is too soft, not very satisfying and a little regretful.
This book is beautifully written
