The red alarm light in the laboratory flashed crazily, and a huge energy shock hit him. At the last second when he lost consciousness, paleontologist Chen Ye tightly protected the suitcase in his arms. The suitcase contained twelve different types of dinosaur embryo fossils, which were the culmination of his lifelong research.
"... Doctor, his vital signs are stable."
"... Strange, there is an ancient fragment in his genetic sequence that we cannot decipher..."
The noisy sounds flowed into Chen Ye's ears intermittently like a layer of water. He opened his eyes suddenly, and what he saw was not the anxious faces of his colleagues, but several... Lizard-man faces covered with fine scales and with vertical pupils.
"Human?!" The leader of the lizard man exclaimed, using a language that Chen Ye had never heard before but could miraculously understand. "Go and report to the city lord! A human has appeared in the burial place of the Dragon God!"
Chen Ye struggled to sit up and found that he was lying in the center of a huge altar made of the bones of an unknown giant beast. Through the broken dome, he could see two purple moons hanging in the velvet night sky.
What made his heart stop even more was that the walls of the altar were carved with lifelike reliefs - Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus rex, Diplodocus... The creatures he had studied for half his life were being enshrined in the temples of these "lizard men" in a worshipful manner.
This is not Earth. And the box of "fossils" he brought was pulsing weakly and hotly deep in his consciousness.
