I Play the Big Shot in a Horror World with My Poker Face

(No female lead) (Infinite flow)

When utter terror comes rushing at you, will you scream, turn and run, or freeze in place?

Lin Yan, a seriously overworked corporate drone and low-level planner, suffers from an extremely rare condition known as “acute stress-induced facial and limb paralysis.” Whenever he encounters extreme fear, his face and limbs instantly stiffen. His expression betrays not the slightest trace of terror. Instead, he always wears a cold, detached look, as if he regards everything with indifference.

One late night, the 404 night bus, a vehicle that should not exist, unexpectedly dragged him into a terrifying paranormal space known as the “Abyss System.” Ghosts and monsters run rampant there. Ordinary methods cannot harm the evil spirits at all, and deadly traps lurk everywhere. One small mistake is enough to send you plunging into the abyss.

Strangely, whenever Lin Yan enters a perilous dead end, the whole situation takes a bizarre turn.

A water ghost comes to claim his life. The other players flee in panic, while Lin Yan freezes from head to toe, his face cold as ice.

Veteran players deliberately test him, and the newcomers are all terrified. Lin Yan is too scared to say a word, yet they mistake him for a supreme expert who has transcended fear of death.

A lantern-bearing evil spirit patrols at night. Lin Yan's mind goes blank with terror, and he stands there staring straight at the ghost. With nothing but his hollow, icy gaze, he drives the evil spirit fleeing in panic.

On the inside, he's a coward through and through, screaming like a panicked groundhog every day, “Somebody save me!” Yet on the outside, with every brush with death, he leaves behind an unforgettable legend as a “ruthless, merciless big shot.”
