The Night Before Debut: The Fourteenth Star

In early winter 2014, on the night Seoul saw its first snowfall, SEVENTEEN trainee member Wen Junhui found a boy curled up on a street corner on his way back to the dorm.

The boy called himself “Qilin.” He had no memories and wore only a thin Chinese martial arts uniform, quietly waiting in the cold wind for some unknown destination. Out of kindness, Wen Junhui took him back to the dorm, only to discover that this quiet, taciturn boy had astonishing body control and martial arts skills.

At Pledis Entertainment, thirteen boys were making their final push toward debut. With just six months until their scheduled debut, the group’s concept was already set, and their debut song was being recorded. Everyone believed “SEVENTEEN” would debut forever as a thirteen-member group.

Until that snowy night, when the fourteenth member appeared.
