Lin Bancan left Jingxiang
"Life is half a life, walking the yin and yang path, not inviting gods or ancestors, only pretending to be ghosts and suffering in the world."
In the early years of the Republic of China, Lin Xiaoman, a strange man from North Zhili (known as Lin Banguan in Jianghu), was born with extraordinary talents. Only half a jar of three souls and seven souls remained, and half of his soul hung in the gap between yin and yang. Ghosts regarded him as an empty jar of yin and could not avoid him, and evil spirits had nowhere to hide when they encountered him.
He originally made a living by dealing with evil spirits, but he took on the life-threatening job of escorting a locked Paulownia coffin from North Zhili south to Jingxiang and finally arrived at Wuchang City. The mysterious client laid down iron rules: Don't walk in the dark, don't go to a shop when you encounter a village, and don't leave your body in a coffin. He didn't know that the coffin contained the most important treasure of the Yin Dynasty, the "Yin and Yang Order of Water and Land", and he didn't know that this road had attracted evil spirits from all directions.
Hundreds of ghosts in deserted villages lead the way, Huangxian in the deserted mountains sets up puzzles, Yin boats in the Yellow River change their bodies, mandrills in the mountains change their heads, and the Yin in the water town tempers the soul... Along the way, the Northern Song Dynasty hat demon, Wutong evil god, Lu Ban is tired of winning, and the headless ghosts take turns to cause troubles, which also attracts the pursuit of the Yin Division's black and white and the Yin Shuai.
Fortunately, he is accompanied by the lame old boatman Zhou Laizi. This seemingly ordinary boatman actually hides a secret about his life experience. The two pushed the coffin on desolate roads, crossed long rivers, visited ancient towns and wading villages, and fought to the death with evil spirits.
When all the evil forces gathered outside the city of Wuchang, and the god of plague formed a large formation to slay the people of the city, the shocking secret behind the coffin and the true identity of Zhou Laizi were finally revealed. The ultimate showdown concerning the order of Yin and Yang and the safety of the world begins on the banks of the Yangtze River.
This is a chivalrous journey across Yin and Yang, slaying demons and monsters. It is also a legend of a mortal who bears the suffering of the world and protects peace with his half-pot body.
