In the eighth year of the Republic of China, Beijing.
Leng Qingqiu, a female lecturer in the Department of Archeology at Peking University, does not believe in ghosts and gods, but only believes in evidence. In order to prove her "historical theory", she broke into the Kunlun Mountains with a geological hammer, hoping to find the legendary "origin of civilization."
Then, she smashed a stone tablet with a hammer.
Behind the monument, a young man wearing ancient dark clothes and a handsome face walked out, but with the word "social fear" written all over his face. He calls himself Murong Yunque, the gatekeeper of Kunlun Ruins, and has lived alone here for three thousand years.
Leng Qingqiu: "Three thousand years old? Do you think I'm stupid?"
Murong Yunque: "The piece you smashed is the monument that seals the Chinese dragon vein. If it is not repaired within three days, the Yellow River will change its course and the Yangtze River will stop flowing. It is up to you."
Leng Qingqiu: "..."
So, an archaeologist who does not believe in ghosts and gods, a gatekeeper who does not understand human nature, and a thousand-year-old dragon that can speak local dialects and loves to drink secretly, embark on a bizarre journey from the North China Plain to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, from the early Republic of China to the mythical age.
They broke into the cave of the Peking Man and discovered the dragon veins of the Yuan Dynasty under the Forbidden City;
They fell into the illusion of Li Yu's words and cracked Shen Wansan's cornucopia in the Jiangnan water town;
They danced with the flying sky in the Dunhuang murals, and were rescued by the heroic souls of Han Dynasty garrison soldiers in the Hexi Corridor;
They finally stood on the top of Kunlun, facing a "stone book" that recorded all the memories of China for five thousand years——
and a group of enemies seeking to erase this history.
Leng Qingqiu asked: "What can we do to protect it?"
Murong Yunque looked at the stretch under his feet
