Rift

The world is more than what we can see.

The time that vanishes out of nowhere, the memories inexplicably forgotten, the weightless feeling of sudden heart-pounding fear:

they all come from rifts hidden in the folds of reality.

They do not devour life. They devour existence itself.

The boy Chi Jianji always thought he was simply sensitive and used to watching from the sidelines,

until his childhood friend Lu Tinglan was dragged into a rift. Only then did he understand:

those strange premonitions had never been his imagination.

To find the person who has been erased, he willingly steps into forbidden territory.

Memories will be eaten away, perceptions rewritten, and the people around him will slowly forget one another.

The rifts do not care about good or evil. They ask only:

How much of your “past” are you willing to trade for a “future”?

This is a perilous journey into the abyss, all about forgetting and holding on.

Some lose everything in the rifts,

while others find their true selves in the cracks.
