[Mutual Healing + A Touch of Yandere + Slow Burn + Cozy Everyday Life + One Female Lead]
My name is Shen Mo. I found her curled up in the snow outside my apartment.
She was huddled by my door, covered by the strawberry-print blanket I’d just bought, shivering from the cold.
I carried her inside, rubbed her hands, and cooked her noodles. She just curled up in a corner and stared at me in terror. I thought she was mute. Later, she learned to nod, then shake her head.
She began turning on the little light before I got home from work. Later still, she spoke my name, her voice barely audible.
Her name was Su Mian. I thought I was saving a homeless girl. We got together, and she was accepted into my university as a junior.
Then one day, after I talked a little too long with a girl from my club, I returned to my dorm that evening and found that all the messages the girl had sent me had been read and deleted.
My girlfriend was standing downstairs, smiling at me. “Senior, it’s time to come home.”
My name is Su Mian. The day I fainted outside his door, I thought I would die in the snow.
He carried me inside, rubbed my frozen hands, and cooked me noodles. He even gave me the last egg. I didn’t dare say a word. I just curled up in a corner and watched him.
I was afraid of everyone, but he was different. He put medicine on my wounds and, when he worried I might have nightmares, asked through the curtain at night if I was cold.
For the first time, I learned that being alive didn’t have to mean being beaten. I fell in love with him, and he loved me too.
But once we started going to school, so many people crowded around him. Those girls called him Senior, smiled at him, and touched his sleeve.
I held it in for a day, a week, a month.
That day, I saw him talking with a girl by the school gate. She was laughing so hard she could barely stand. I couldn’t take it anymore.
The writing is delicate and the description is meticulous. It gives people a very real feeling, and readers can easily enter it. Although there are slight flaws (here, the author always writes that the male and female protagonists have red ears 🤦), but the flaws are not concealed and deserve a 5-star praise 👍 I have a feeling that this novel may be a hit, so I will be the first reader to comment on this excellent novel 😄
