[Creepy dungeons × extreme survival × childhood friends]
On the night we broke up, my ex-boyfriend and I were trapped in the same creepy dungeon.
After ten years together, he stood on the balcony smoking, without even looking back.
I left my key and walked away.
Then I missed a step and fell into an abandoned station.
The benches were full of “people.”
Some had necks twice as long as normal. Others had faces as smooth as peeled eggs.
A voice came over the PA:
“If you can't find the exit by midnight, the train will take you away forever.”
I turned around. Shen Duzhou was standing three meters away.
In his pajamas and slippers, he looked just as disheveled as I did.
We wordlessly looked away from each other,
pretending we didn't know one another.
But when those things surrounded us, his first instinct was still to put himself between them and me.
Just like every time he'd protected me over the past ten years.
Later, we discovered that every so often, we were pulled into a new dungeon.
An abandoned station, a midnight train, a carriage of memories, a door of choices...
Someone died every time. Someone went missing every time.
And that rag doll kept following us.
It stood on the windowsill of the building across the street, waiting for the seventh day to come.
You can pretend to live a normal life.
Eat, sleep, and live with the person pretending not to know you.
But you know that thing is still waiting somewhere.
Waiting for the seventh day.
Waiting for the next time.
And you know that person you pass every day,
are they waiting for the same train too?
