Lu Jie, a seasoned gaming streamer, unexpectedly receives a disc from a mysterious game publisher.
From the start, he's bound to the character Zhao Tiehua, a village girl, only to be duped by a crooked old Taoist into declaring herself emperor.
The empress from the mountain valleys has barely proclaimed herself before the county yamen launches a crackdown.
Lu Jie deftly controls Zhao Tiehua as she fends off one powerful enemy after another.
He thinks it's just an interesting game, but gradually he begins to realize something is wrong.
The world in the game seems to be real...
