Lin Xuan was once a menial outer disciple of the Azure Cloud Sect on the Cangxuan Continent. Because he possessed a hidden Daoic physique, his fiancée Liu Ruyan and the sect's prodigy Zhao Wuji grew jealous of him. They crippled his cultivation, severed his meridians, and abandoned him at the bottom of the Immortal Burial Cliff. On the verge of death, he awakened the [Myriad Worlds Emperor Lord Devouring System], gaining the ability to devour all things and strengthen himself. After devouring a thousand-year-old poison wyrm and the remains of ancient cultivators at the cliff's base, his injuries healed and his cultivation soared to the Golden Core stage. Returning to the sect, Lin Xuan killed Zhao Wuji and devoured his cultivation and fortune. When he rescued the sect's Saintess, Su Qingyue, he triggered the [Emperor Lord Harem Heavenly Dao Lock], making her his first devoted imperial consort. With his devouring ability, he swept through the Azure Cloud Sect, devoured his enemies, seized its treasure vault, and established himself as sect leader. His harem began to take shape with the arrival of the Medicine Immortal Valley's successor and a young woman of the Nine-Tailed Fox clan. As his strength grew, Lin Xuan expanded his campaigns across the Cangxuan Continent and the Myriad Worlds, devouring the bloodlines of powerful foes such as ancient divine clans, abyssal demon commanders, and primeval dragons. He forged the Myriad Daos Chaos Emperor Physique and unlocked the System's [Myriad Daos Summoning] function. Mythical figures such as Chang'e and the Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden descended and pledged their loyalty, and his harem grew into an army of the most outstanding women from the immortal, demon, divine, and yao races. But his overbearing devouring drew the attention of the strongest beings across the heavens, including Ancient Emperors, Heavenly Venerables, Chaos Demons, and Dark Sovereigns, who joined forces to hunt him down, seeing him as an anomaly. The final battle erupted at the summit of the Myriad Worlds. Lin Xuan devoured myriad great daos and refined the origin of the Heavenly Dao, suppressing every foe and ascending to the position of [Myriad Daos Emperor Venerable]. He founded an eternal divine dynasty to rule the Three Thousand Worlds, while his three thousand imperial consorts governed the heavenly palace and shared his eternal authority.
