The Apocalypse arrives. Mutated monsters run rampant, the order that sustains human life teeters on the brink of collapse, and the card System becomes the core law of survival in the new world.
Killing mutated monsters can yield cards of the corresponding level. Ordinary people can only use cards to obtain supplies and temporary combat power; they can never control the cards’ fundamental power.
Jiang Chen awakens a one-of-a-kind privilege that lets him devour cards, breaking free of the rules that bind everyone else:
Devour ten F-rank elemental cards to permanently gain control of the corresponding elemental ability.
Collect a certain number of any cards of the same rank to break through the limits of your own level.
Any card can unlock all the facilities in the shelter without restriction, laying a solid foundation for his survival in the Apocalypse.
