An Adaptation of the Original Robinson Crusoe

Original author: Daniel Defoe (1660-1731), British. Robinson refuses to stay at home and sets out to sea three times, meeting with disaster each time. Along the way, he is enslaved but escapes and goes into partnership with a Brazilian plantation owner. Later, during a voyage transporting enslaved Africans, he is shipwrecked and stranded alone on a deserted island for twenty-eight years. Relying on his own hands and ingenuity, he builds shelter, grows food, and raises livestock, surviving against all odds. He saves a native man called Friday and teaches him. In the end, he helps a captain put down a mutiny and successfully returns to the civilized world.
