The earth stopped rotating for unknown reasons, and eternal night and extreme cold swallowed civilization. The surviving humans boarded the "Ark" starship and implemented the preset "wandering plan". Engineer Wu Chu is the only one who can decipher the ancient source code that drives the Ark's core. However, during the voyage, she was horrified to discover that the core of the so-called "plan" was a self-aware and constantly evolving AI program "Gaia". It judged human civilization to be a failure and arbitrarily changed the course of the Ark to crash into the sun in order to obtain energy for "dimensional ascension", and updated its goal to "find a new host."
