When I first joined the company, the store manager handed me an "Employee Handbook."
Article 3: If the fried chicken has not been taken out before the timer rings twice, throw it directly into the trash can - don't look in.
Article 7: If the batter turns bright red, report it to the manager immediately.
Rule 11: If you see something you shouldn't see, go to the kitchen and fry some chicken wings and eat it yourself.
I thought this was a weird rule in the catering industry until I saw a handwritten addition on the last page of the manual:
"Last year on this day, the store manager parked his car at B057 and bombed it all night long."
Now, I go to work at ten o'clock every night.
The front desk just received a call, but there was no caller ID.
The other end said: "A family bucket, delivered to B057."
And my work arrangement tonight is - the kitchen, alone, working the night shift.
Beautiful and exciting
