After Passing the Imperial Exam, I Became the Most Powerful Minister in the Great Yong

I transmigrated into the body of a poor scholar and thought I’d use my modern knowledge to crush a whole bunch of villains.

Then I realized: Are there even any bad people in this world?

The old teacher opposed me because he was afraid a lifetime of learning would go to waste;

The landlord was wary of me because he feared losing the land he’d spent his life accumulating;

The bigwigs used me because they wanted to claim a political achievement for their faction;

Even the official’s son who used to argue with me eventually became my most loyal follower.

No one was wrong. We just had different interests.

So I set up a mutual aid society in the village, and the county magistrate rushed to copy it;

I casually wrote a policy essay, and the court bigwigs fought over it;

And by the time their arguments were over, they’d turned me into a rising star of reform.

By the time I realized what had happened, I’d gone from a poor scholar who couldn’t afford a meal to the most powerful official in the Great Yong dynasty.

Did I just turn slacking off at work into a power-minister cultivation game?
