My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, as I Expected: The Sequel

Between Tokyo and Chiba lie a forty-minute ride on the Shinkansen and a tomorrow that has yet to arrive. He puts the lingering warmth of high school into words, while she learns to lean on others beneath the weight of her family responsibilities. Waiting doesn't mean standing still. It means following their own paths and slowly becoming people worth waiting for. When cherry blossoms blanket the gates of Soubu High, when the old man's bench is finally no longer empty, when someone cries for her for the first time at Haruno's wedding, only then do they understand: all that loneliness and separation was so that, in some moment lit by moonlight, they could see themselves living in each other's eyes. This is a long confession about “becoming”: first being seen, then seeing yourself, and finally realizing that what lies between us has always been the real thing.

The youth captured on paper has become a book, but the real story is only just beginning.
